My summer classes end next week, and I have been finishing every assignment I can ahead of the last day of classes – next Friday. My hope is to complete all the assignments, and then only have to respond to the discussions. This would free up more of my time to focus on Heart Work.
Not only have I been writing, but I have also been making improvements to my tiny house. I found this product that helps reflect the heat and keep it cooler as the triple digits firmly stay put here in Northern California. It gives the entire interior a space vibe, while, more importantly, keeping it much cooler. I also got a bigger window AC and that has made a HUGE difference.
In addition to writing and revising my manuscript, I have also been called in to write a couple of grants for the museum. Fortunately, they are local grants, so if I have questions or need help, I can easily get it. However, this means calling a board meeting to sit down and pencil in classes and tentative programming decisions for 2022. So, that’s going to take additional time during the month I was hoping to devote solely to Heart Work and my son. Such is life, and I can’t really complain.
In the meantime, I have been outlining two new books, and written a few chapters of a murder mystery. I know, complete 180 from Heart Work, but I’m excited. If all goes well, this could turn into a mystery series. I will keep you posted and add little blurbs here and there with my new projects.
In the meantime, stay cool! Stay hydrated! And I’ll chat with you later!
