Beginnings are something many writers struggle with. Not only when starting a new project, but also just sitting down to write each day is the beginning of a new journey into a work in progress.

My first year of graduate school is coming to a close. In several classes, I was asked a seemly innocent and easy question — why do you write?

I hope the month of November is treating you well. We are now 10 days into NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and I am over 16,000 words into the complete overhaul of Heart Work. It’s stressful, exciting, and time consuming because you are committing yourself to 1,667 words per day. Some days it’s easier than others to write and hit that goal.

A few weeks ago, my son and I were having a Mom and Me day when our Mini Cooper started having troubles. Long story short, it was the ignition coils. I ordered the parts, had to wait for them to come in, and then my son and I installed them. I started the car and everything has been working well.

Hello my lovelies!
It has been a hot minute since I last posted. During my brief hiatus I have made progress in all areas of my life, but mostly I have focused on my son and my nonprofit. Heart Work is my first and foremost top priority project. I have also launched my social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram, but I have only posted on Facebook at the moment. I am working on a social media schedule for both myself and my nonprofit, Midnight Waters. I will also be adding Parler and Rumble to my list of social media platforms, but I have not had a moment to set them up.

My summer classes end next week, and I have been finishing every assignment I can ahead of the last day of classes – next Friday. My hope is to complete all the assignments, and then only have to respond to the discussions. This would free up more of my time to focus on Heart Work.
