Welcome!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for visiting my blog. As I begin my literary journey as a novelist, I have decided to create a platform for my fans to get to know me better, as well as my work. I am excited to start this new adventure with you all. My goal is to post new content weekly, and as this platform grows, I’ll look at adding different content. But for now, we’ll start small.

I should probably introduce myself, and much of this information will be put on the About Me page. My name is Maghan, I’m in my mid-30’s, and am a California native. I’m a single mother to a wonderful little boy. He is autistic and pushes me every day to better version of myself. We have a Colliedoodle named Tilly, and she lives with us in our tiny home in Northern California.

I have been in some form of media since I was 16, and was in journalism for almost 15 years before leaving that industry. I jumped around doing various freelance projects while serving as an advocate for my son. After taking a year off, selling my house, and downsizing our life to be more sustainable, I learned a few things. The first was I would never be able to have a traditional full-time job again because of the demands of autism. And the second was that I needed to find a way to build a sustainable life and a legacy for my son to inherit.

After weighing my options, I decided to go back to college and get my Masters degree. I am currently enrolled in Lindenwood University’s MFA Creative Writing program. I’m currently in my second semester in the program and will graduate in Spring 2023. I’m really excited to be in graduate school and pursuing an avenue I’ve wanted to for a while now. I have written several screenplays and a few books, but I’ve never published them. I’m looking forward to becoming a stronger writer and to getting my work out into the world for others to enjoy.
